We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our client who operate in the hospitality conference space. You will be responsible for driving sales and connecting buyers and sellers within the hospitality investment community. You’ll work on some of the world’s largest Hospitality Investment Conferences!

You’ll have the chance to make a tangible impact by helping marketers and buyers connect more efficiently and effectively. They are a leading global events, media, and business information company, yet we remain a place where your voice is valued and your ideas matter.

They’re also expanding globally with a newly launched conference in Asia, as well as recently strategically acquiring another conference on the east coast of the US! It’s a great time to join them, with very clear pathways for professional progression.

As a Business Development Manager, you will act as a strategic marketing consultant to help clients meet their objectives. You’ll do this by managing and developing a sales territory (sector rather than geographical) with a target of $1.5M in annual sales.

You’ll spend your days building and nurturing relationships with clients using a consultative sales approach. We don’t want someone who could ‘sell ice to an Eskimo’ or could chew the ear off a donkey – we want someone that can listen, understand and consult with clients.

You’re going to need to have experience in the trade show, media, or B2B sales environment. The level of this role isn’t conducive to someone coming in who hasn’t experienced doing deals in these sectors. They’re happy for you to go out and meet potential clients, so do expect international travel in this role.

Their UK office is based walking distance from Chancery Lane tube station. You’ll work here Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday – with Thursday and Friday being flexible work time. They really value listening—both to colleagues and our customers. The workplace is fast-paced, vibrant, and supportive, with flexibility and adaptability at its core.

From a financial perspective, you’ll get a base of c£50k, but your OTE is pushing £120k (55k comms and £15k bonus). There are also other non-tangible benefits for you as well!

We appreciate this is a tiny snapshot of what you would do, so If you are interested and want to know more, call me, send me a message (Will Grashoff on LinkedIn), DM, or whatever is easiest.

We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable, to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there are no gender biases in our adverts.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.

Upload your CV/resume or any other relevant file. Max. file size: 39 MB.
